I spy with my little eye…

August 3, 2008

We decide to go suss out a few venues.

GardenAsia, a scenic outdoor venue. No air-con though.

GardenAsia

Bottle Tree Village, Sembawang. Also no air-con, but it’s Just by the sea. However, to seat 300 people would mean putting some indoor and the rest of the crowd outdoor. Which means part of the crowd would not be able to see the stage and take part in the activities and programmes. So no go.

The good thing was, we got to know Singapore a little better after tracking down these 2 ulu places…

Who would have thought…

July 30, 2008

That finding a venue for our Thanksgiving could be so tricky?

Chevrons at Jurong East? Been there, done that.

Sembawang? Too far.

Tuas Marina? Are you kidding?

Plus, what would we do there, besides, well, eating?

Hmm.. where are Ideas when you need them?

After LIVE THE DREAM… what next?

July 9, 2008

Last year, we brought you Live the Dream.

Who can forget our district’s very own 881 getai singer? (Psst.. Did you see this photo of her in the New Year issue of the Trinitarian magazine?!)

Or our handsome emcee ‘Utt-with-a-goatee’ with his two lovely assistants?

Yup, last year’s Live The Dream was a tough act to follow.

So tough that we, as this year’s committee, have decided to meet every week for the next few months (!!) just to come up with something more spectacular.

Will we succeed? Well, there’s only one way to find out..

Sign up and be there at Thanksgiving!
